It was surreal seeing the buildings and monuments in real life that I had seen saved by countless patriotic American Heroes on the big screen.

DC was very cool, especially the different neighbourhoods.
I had a memorable adventure out to Baltimore to catch a game at the Camden Yards Sports Complex. It was a hot 37 degrees but was fun to see the Orioles play the Yankees.
Air New Zealand via San Francisco on the way over. Then through Los Angeles on the way home.
United Airlines for the internal flights in America.
I ended up with just 25 minutes to make the connection in LAX home due to a delayed arrival...
Luckily I had recognition upgrades on this flight home (Business class) so no one had to sit to close to me. I was a bit of a mess after running between 4 terminals!
